Mission Update: 24 June 2016 – Networking

June 25, 2016 1:06 pm

Second Class Citizen spent this morning talking with the general manager of Rams Horn Restaurant in Rochester Hills MI and attending a classic car show at Woodside Bible Church in Troy, MI.

Rams Horn is a local Michigan restaurant that has been around for as long as anyone can remember. They are well known for assisting charities and helping to raise funds. They are particularly friendly to the Veteran community.

The classic car show was sponsored by a Veterans foundation called Operation Come H.O.M.E. (OCH), with their Executive Director, Mr. Dan Broihan. OCH is working hard to build the first Operation Come Homeand only first class permanent supportive housing complex in Pontiac, for Michigan Veterans to call home. This complex will feature:

  • Spacious single-bedroom quarters
  • Workout/PT facility
  • Professional kitchen
  • Full kitchen and bath in quarters
  • Community space
  • Professional training area.

Second Class Citizen sees OCH as an outstanding organization and program, and hopefully an excellent potential partner and follow-on for some of the transitioning military and Veterans that we assist.
